Our Commitment
Versed Learn was built from the ground up for neurodivergent students. We believe that learning tools should adapt to the learner — not the other way around. Every design decision, every feature, every interaction is evaluated through the lens of accessibility.
We're committed to meeting WCAG 2.1 Level AA standards across the app and this website.
Accessibility Features
OpenDyslexic Font
Switch to OpenDyslexic — a typeface designed to reduce the letter confusion common with dyslexia. Weighted bottoms and unique letter shapes help your brain distinguish between similar characters like b, d, p, and q.
Adjustable Text Size
Granular control over text sizing throughout the entire app. Whether you need larger text for readability or prefer compact layouts, the choice is yours. Settings persist across sessions.
High Contrast Themes
Multiple colour themes including light, dark, warm, and high-contrast options. Reduce eye strain, minimise visual noise, and find the palette that helps you focus. The warm theme uses cream backgrounds and softer colours that many neurodivergent users find less overwhelming.
Focus Mode
Strips away all UI distractions — navigation, stats, decorative elements — leaving just you and the current flashcard. Designed specifically for ADHD minds that benefit from minimal stimulation while studying.
Reduced Motion
Versed Learn respects your system's reduced motion preference automatically. You can also toggle animations off manually within the app. No sudden movements, no unnecessary transitions, no sensory overwhelm.
Screen Reader Support
Built with screen reader compatibility in mind. We use proper labels, alt text, and logical navigation order to support VoiceOver (iOS) and TalkBack (Android). We're continuing to improve screen reader support based on user feedback.
Website Accessibility
This website follows the same principles:
- Semantic HTML structure with proper heading hierarchy
- Skip navigation links for keyboard users
- ARIA labels on all interactive elements
- Sufficient colour contrast ratios
- Fully responsive design from mobile to desktop
- Reduced motion support via
prefers-reduced-motion
Ongoing Work
Accessibility is never "done." We continuously test, audit, and improve. If you encounter any barriers using Versed Learn — on the app or this website — we want to know about it so we can fix it.
