Protecting Younger Learners

How we handle privacy for students under 13 and what parents should know.

Our Approach

Versed Learn is designed for students of all ages, including younger learners with ADHD, dyslexia, and autism. We take the privacy of all our users seriously, and we're especially mindful when it comes to children.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental involvement. If you are under 13, we ask that a parent or guardian creates and manages the account on your behalf.

For Parents & Guardians

If your child is under 13 and wants to use Versed Learn, here's what we recommend:

  • Create the account yourself using your own email address
  • Set up the app for your child and supervise their use
  • Use the Parent Dashboard in the app to monitor study progress, streaks, and activity

This way, you stay in control of the account and your child's data.

What Data We Collect

For all users, we collect only what's necessary for the app to work:

  • Account info — email address and display name
  • Study data — flashcard decks, study sessions, progress, and streaks
  • App usage data — anonymous analytics to improve the app

We do not collect:

  • Location data
  • Photos or videos
  • Contact lists
  • Any data used for advertising or third-party sharing

No Ads, No Data Selling

Versed Learn does not show advertisements, does not sell user data, and does not share personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Study data is used solely to provide the learning experience.

Parent Rights

As a parent or guardian, you can:

  • Review your child's study activity via the Parent Dashboard
  • Delete the account and all associated data at any time from Settings
  • Contact us to request data access, deletion, or ask any questions

Data Security

All data is encrypted in transit and at rest, hosted on secure infrastructure (Supabase), with strict access controls. We regularly review our security practices.
